Front Turn Signal wiring(Inside the lamp)

Hey there, I pulled my turn signal lenses as they both have cracks and I am going to replace them. While at it I decided to clean the insides of the housings and repaint the inside silver portion as it's mostly worn off. Anyway, what I thought was interesting was the amount of wires with female connectors is more than the 2 male connectors on the back side of the bulb holder(silver) portion. Extra connectors are for ?

There are 4 female wire connectors and only two are being used. Why so many?

Ground, Run and turn signals both come in, ground and run light also goes out the back on the terminals to the running light beside it. That is what the jumpers are for.
But it looks like you don’t have the side running light just like the ROW cars don’t. But US models do.
Porsche made their harnesses for every option available on the front lights.

Thanks Dennis. I was hoping that you would chime in.
It's a 1977, US car. Left side, front. I added the city lamps years ago into the headlights. They are working as you can see. The outboard running light was working, but since it is disconnected in the turn signal now will not light. Both the Amber outboard and Amber inboard running lights work as does the turn signal. I am replacing the outboard US running lamp with the ROW rubber strip, so which wires do I connect to my turn signal? Also, can I simply connect the turn and ground to it and keep the double filament bulb and have it work as the turn signal but not the running lamp?

White/black single should be turn signal. Brown is always ground.
Grey/red is running light.
How you choose to have it work is up to you. (And maybe the cops)
Running lights are good to have on a double filament lamp, with the signal making it flash brighter.
