1988 911 wiring diagrams......

Hello all-

Can anybody tell me about the late 3.2L/G50 911 Carrera wiring diagrams? I just picked up a nice low mileage 88 Cab, and need the wiring diagrams for it.....

A search of the forums came up blank for me ( or maybe I didn't ask the right question in the right way.......

I do have a CD of the Factory Manuals 85-89, and section 970 has the diagrams in black and white, but what I really need is the color diagrams that unfold, and unfold, and unfold from the Manual like it does for my '77 930 Turbo....

Did the printed Factory manuals have the diagrams in color in the late 80s? If so, anybody have a link, or someplace I can buy a color copy?

thanks-

Tim

Tim,
Here's a free bump 'cos I'm looking for the exact same diagrams, or a good photocopy.
Happy to pay.
I have a scanned copy of the factory manual, but it's really hard to read details on some diagrams.

Tim,

The Bentley has a some errors, and omissions.

I picked up one of these for our '86.

Fold out pages, B/W, with wire color codes.

It is 100% right on, and should be compatible with your '88.

They may have the '88.

pm me as needed.

Good luck,

Gerry

Hello All-

An update....... I'm not sure what year Porsche stopped putting in the color, fold out wiring diagrams, but a good friend Chuck Croteau at Red Line Service in Tucson told me by '88, the fold out pages were gone, and no more color. Each system has it's own page- fog lamps, rear w/s wiper, etc., with the main power distribution diagrams in 3 pages.
Black and white only, with the color codes for the wires printed in small letters. Not nearly as convenient IMHO, but cheaper to print. The beancounters are everywhere....

If anyone needs a link, I will post where I got the 86-89 CD for about $6. Don't have that info right this second, or I'd post it.......

Interested if there is a source where I can purchase high quality electrical schematics for my car 89 3.2 - color or not
The best I've seen are from the factory manuals, but I don't have any of those, just Bentley and some images I got from someone here.

If memory serves me correctly, I have a copy of the 1988 wiring diagrams book from Porsche that covers all models. I had the 911 set blown up to 3' x 4' and laminated and they hung on the garage wall while I worked on my '88 Cab. I will need to look around to see if I still have the original book, and if I do, I will be happy to copy and send. I haven't seen it in a while but haven't needed it with the large blowups. Sorry - no color, just black and white.

I was able to lay my hands on the factory manual the other day - it was in the absolute wrong place and I found it in error while looking for a fog light bulb. If anyone needs copies, I'll be happy to assist.

Mnaual-supplement

Here's a source for the 84-89 3.2.

I bought one to replace my "well" worn one in my factory manual.

The best $35 you will spend.

Good luck,

Gerry

I have been away from the office on a family emergency. I need the large copier as the pages are 12 x 24 +/-. I will be back in the office soon and will get copies for those who wanted them.

Lee,
Don't worry about full-size one-piece copies for me.
I'm quite happy with each diagram spread across several standard pages and I will piece them back together.
