Directionals not working

Now when I go to put my directional on nothing happens. The arm for the directional seems to work fine for left and right, and the high beams work, but when I go to use the directional nothing happens not even the left or right arrows on the dash. Is there a relay or switch for them? Or is it the switch in the steering column that needs to be replaced?
Tom

Tom, Did you try the 4 way flasher switch to see if the flashers will work at all? If I remember correctly, the flasher relay is in the dash behind the gas guage. If I'm wrong, someone please correct me. Craig

Do the lights come on and not flash?

Lights on no flash - check the flasher behind the gas guage.

No lights at all check the fuses or grounds to lights.

Went back out and tried the four way flasher(emergency flasher) and nothing. All my parking lights work. When I hit the lever for my directionals there is absoulutely nothing. So I guess I'll try to find the flasher relay behind the fuel guage. Thanks guys.

ON my car the TS would stick. I took out the flasher relay and cleaned the contacts on the inside. You can see how the outer cover pops off. simple magnetic circuit with an RC time delay. Just clean the contacts and you should be back in business. Of course, you can buy a new one as well.

69 911s you got it. One thing I've learned with these cars is when something is not right always check the easy things first. The fuse was fine but when I went back and gave it a little twist everthing started working again. Thanks everyone for all your help.

JP, could you be more specific? My turn signals work intermittently, but start working again when I remove the gas gauge and twist the flasher relay a bit, so I suspect dirty contacts. Are you talking about cleaning the contacts on the relay or getting inside the dash and cleaning the socket (which I can't see into!)?
