Gone through a few different iterations over the last two years, waiting for it to come back from paint now….

First and only Porsche. 1987 Coupe. Been learning as I go figuring out all the mysteries the POs did with various "fixes." Why is there no horn ring? What happened to the horn relay? BLS pigtails, blower fan motor dead, AC compressor detonation. And that's what I've discovered so far. But that's all part of the fun.

Planned upgrades, SW Chip, M&K premuffler and exhaust, JWest short shifter. After that, time to tackle the suspension with struts/shocks, torsion bars, and possibly swaybars.

Looking to build a fun street car, that will still be comfortable enough that my wife will ride in it

Hi,

I'm a new member from Europe, this forum has been recommended to me by a friend who has been a long time member here.

Finally, I am able to participate on Pelican Parts actively as well. My very first Porsche, a 1973 911 T with some fast bits and pieces arrived last week:

Can't wait for some of my favorite alpine passes to open after winter and the first few tours with it.

First time poster, long time Porsche fan, recent 911 owner.

This '68 912 became mine last October, after having sat in storage for the preceding 18 years. It's mish mash of various parts and still haunted by the ghosts of earlier restorations, but it's a super clean chassis and largely in great shape, just in need of a very thorough sorting out. The engine case is an early cast aluminum from '65, the heads are '67 911S units, topped with Italian Webers.

When it came to me, the engine didn't turn over, and carbs were frozen solid, the distributor had disappeared, and the nearly 20 year old gas had turned to molasses. Now with rebuilt Webers, a new ignition system, and a deep cleaned fuel tank, it runs! Still a long road ahead, with just about everything needing attention, but it'll be a fun process.
