Upgrade to ecu with lambda

Good evening..
My air-cooled original 3.2L does not have a lambda but it is ready with a plug in the electrical to the engine and there is a connection to the plug that is in my ecu.
Will a lambda work if I get a chip that is for a 3.2 L with motronic ecu
who uses lambda work or do I have to replace my motronic ecu ??

Bent

Sounds like you just need an O2 sensor on the exhaust.

Motronic is lambda based so yeah, that ECU works.

Can it be that easy ...............
What if you have 3.2 with defective lambda, is it just to pull out the plug and everything works as it should again ?

Something a little less simple but possibly more userful:

You might consider installing a wideband O2 sensor and gauge instead of the regular O2 sensor. Many of the wideband gauges also have a programmable output for lambda. This would allow you to both monitor operation and tweak the lambda output if needed.
