CV / Axle Joint replacement help
Hi all. I am rebuilding my CV joints, and noticed some small divots along the ball track, so I mind as well replace. I can't seem to find replacement joints, just complete assemblies but I'd rather just replace the joint if possible.
So I am looking for CV joints for a 1970 Porsche 911S, The ones I have in there right now that are worn are made by Lobro and have a number stamped on them C153150199044 and is about 108mm wide x 40mm thick. I see many people selling for 911 Empi joints for 911's with 87-9469 and 87-9470, but not sure they will fit or not. Thank you for your help! |

For my later (six bolt) CVs I've always just purchased the joint by itself.
If you used the search feature on this list, you'd have found this: ![]() ![]() Me, I've always tried to replace a broken boot with a one size fits all boot from J.C.Whitney (but haven't looked in years). You snip off what you don't need on either end. Zip ties have worked fine for retention, though you could use clamps. But I assume your boots are good, so you'll reuse them? |

If its a small divot only, you can probably just switch the joint around so the balls will find an new unused place.
