And a few additional ones... Last one when packed for a travel to my fiends body workshop. Modified my trailer, built a custom frame that bolts on to suspension mounting pints and slides onto a trailer. Worked like a charm

Konrad, When I first started reading this thread, I was a little skeptical about the success of this project. But as it turned out, you have convinced me that you are the right guy that could overcome the obstacles to get this car running again. You have given me some inspiration to do some unfinished projects in the garage. BTW, I wish I could find a similar car trailer like yours over here in United States. I got an aluminum Trailex but too big for small hauling. Wish you good luck. Thanks for sharing. Tony |

Def road salt rust - everywhere it gets flicked up from wheels sticking to the underbody. All the galvanising would have worked even better with some plastic wheel liners. Still someone got to enjoy that car driven hard and put away wet.
Have fun bringing it back - it will test you many times but you can be strong and defeat it. |

Wow- now that is a rusty tub for sure. I am sure we will all enjoy watching this tub be restored and returned to the road for decades more enjoyment. Best of luck and enjoy the process.

dear God....
seeing THIS makes me confident once more how good and solid my car is (so lucky me). I've seen a lot of resurrections in this forum. Yours for sure is within the top 10 already. Good for you you have a a friend who obviously is willing to do way more than a friends work for your car.

Things moved forward a bit.
Ordered some OEM body parts (i.e. the "mounts" for the bumper absorbers). Seems it's a bit faster to produce these replacement panels by my friend in general, rather than wait for the delivery from Porsche ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

So while I’m there… I’m thinking about strenghtening the chassis for coilovers. I’m quite sure I will stick with Torsion bars initially, but after 10 years or so I may change my mind. If to do it, now is the time.

Reinforcing for coil overs now is an excellent idea!
I had my car apart for a year and didn’t reinforce while I had the chance. Maybe in 10 years…. |
