Electric to Manual Window Retrofit

Hi guys, in the never ending tinkering with my car process, I thought it might be neat to look into converting my very slow power windows to manual. There are quite a few good threads on what's needed insofar as converting a power windowed car to manual windows using factory parts, but I did stumble across this product in one of the posts:

https://www.rosepassion.com/en/parts-porsche-911-1983-eu-3-0sc-targa-manual-gearbox-5-speed/bodywork-271/door-313/p572057-kit-to-transform-electric-window-lift-mechanism-to-manual-version-3830-0-572057

It looks fairly straight forward (more so than swapping out the regulators), but wanted to check if anyone on the board had used these or if anyone had any other thoughts. I reached out to the manufacturer (Sikkens racing in Italy) and they confirmed the regulators don't need to come out - apparently just unbolt the motor from the regulator and insert the device in its place. Looks pretty simple and cost effective. Either way I'd need new door panels and the crank handle, but might be less annoying in the long run than a slow motor and sticky switches.

I have converted my '84 to manual wind windows. Very glad I did.
The Rosepassion kit is alluring and a good alternative, but I chose to wait it out and look for manual winders in the usual places (ebay, forums). Found the original winders for a slightly better price.
Be carfeul to buy the modern manual winders, not the original style with long parallelograms.

I haven't installed / tested the Speedster manual window regulators in my '89 3.2 coupe, yet, but here's some discussion and pics...

Going full manual (windows, locks and mirrors) 1989 doors. Tips & tricks?

Soon tho...

That's a pretty cool solution if it works. I have converted a couple of cars from electric to manual, in addition to the manual regulators I needed the glass with the matching bracket. It's a pretty straightforward conversion and most of the holes are already there. On the SC's I did all the holes were there. On a Carrera door I had to drill the hole for the regulator splined shaft with a hole saw, I think there was a dimple for the center point already so it was very simple. A lot of the old manual regulators are worn out and it can be hard to find complete sets so this is a good idea.

Was thinking: just to make the drivers side manual and keep the passenger side w/ motor, for now. Weird, but thats what I would like to do...my car is 'one of one' but 99% of the mod's will be (mostly) reversible.
