^ Awesome!

We're sending a pair of these new third-generation seals to Jeff Alton at Turn3 Autosport in Langley, BC for his review.

Success! I tried the "OEM" one from our host and returned it... Waited and got this URO one and what a difference!

Rubber was more compliant and the little extra flap width easily covers the corners now.

Thanks URO for keeping us informed about availability and making this great part.

Did you get it from Pelican? I still don't see it on their website. Or did you go the Summit route?

Mark

I did... Rock also has it. Not sure why Pelican hasn't listed it yet. I would have ordered from here, but really wanted to get my 911 back on the road.

Looks like Summit is out of stock now as well, until late December.

The slope is not slippery; in fact it is entirely frictionless.

AWESOME!!! Thanks for the update! This production run was 500 and we've already sold about 70.

To anyone who just installed a new seal from this batch (code 11104 on bottom right corner of label), please share your feedback ASAP. If there are any adjustments that should to be made, we'd love to do it before we schedule the next production run. Thanks!

Installed mine and had better luck than with any other seal I've used!! Seems of good quality and the fit looks great to me. Only variable in my install is I use a rubber "rope" instead of the metal trim so I'm sure the fit is a bit different. And of course I forgot to snap a better finished install, but I am more than happy with fit.

Chinese glass is being used

Excellent, how is the inner lip / headliner coverage?

My application is a bit different due to my targa to coupe conversion but it seems ok. I did feel just a little bit more of an inner lip would be nice, maybe .5-1mm. But def not necessary. Again my results will be an oddball. Still very happy with the seal and will buy again without hesitation.

Rock had them, and no problem shipping to Europe. The fedex freight was surprisingly inexpensive too.

Hi Ambagambla, the part number for the Windshield Outer Seal for 1999 to 2005 911 and 2000 (from chassis #98XS620225) to 2004 Boxster is 996 541 531 01. This is a standard replacement seal for the 996, and doesn't have any modifications.

Does our host pelican have the latest version Uro windshield seal for a 1988 911 in yet? What about the rear seal?

Hi Trials, it's located on this page of the catalog: https://www.pelicanparts.com/More_Info/91154122504.htm?pn=911-541-225-04-M253&SVSVSI=583&DID=11703

We're completely out of stock for Rear Window Seal 911 545 225 00 for coupes, and are currently redesigning this seal to improve fit in the corners. The updated seal probably won't be available until sometime in 2025, so you may want to go with an alternative in the meantime.
