Cool Henry. Will this work on a 3.2 based motor running carbs? What else will I need and will you sell it as a complete kit including coils and wires etc??

Are there going to be versions to fit early cases?

Last time Henry came on here about his MFI stuff I called and then faxed and he/they totally ignored my requests for pricing. Just thought you all would like to know.

Brooke,
I was talking to Aaron about developing one for the early case myself, using his button on my Bosh distributor. This would make an early dizzy compatible w/ the Jag cap, making parts availability much better than Bosch. I have been too busy to make traction, but it is very doable.

Porsche Crest

I saw one which looked a whole lot like this (might be the same) at Carquip in Boulder, Colorado a couple of months ago. Call Marie there. 303 443 1343.

Sorry if this question sounds redundant. What is the benefit of having twin plug cap? Seems this has been discussed numerous times but I cannot find through search the benefits and what it all intails to convert on earlier model cars 'SC's for example. Cheers.

Did you have the correct phone number, etc? Henry moved about a year ago.

When I call, he's always there, very polite and informative, etc. Henry's attitude definitely gives one trust in what he offers.

Anyway...Henry, way to go! That and the MFI is definitely material worth salavating over.

Twin plug cap means you can machine your heads for twin plugs. This results in smoother running, a more agressive advance curve and the ability to run higher compression pistons.

Yes, I spoke to someone who said I needed to speak with Henry hisself. Instead, I faxed a sheet asking for info ($) for my project. That was that. No reply. Did they get the fax? My machine says yes. No need to beat up on Henry, just my experience.

i barely comprehend an engine running on 6 plugs, so i'm kinda hesitant in jumping in on this for 20hp... nonetheless, pretty cool since it's gotta be considerably cheaper than the original units go for

nice work.

Twin plug cap means you can do twin plugs w/ a lighter dist. setup and still have the wider plug gaps for more power - not just improved 'feel'

also, it looks more like the early race cars than does the dual drive 964/993 dist.

Twin plugs doesn't make much horsepower by itself but it lets you run higher compression with the same octane gas. That is the real advantage of twin plugs. As far as the advance goes, you actually run less advance with twin plugs. I *suppose* this results in less "negative work" as you don't need to start combustion as early.

Heh heh; brain fart.

BTW: Twin plug Ebay search

Couldn't get the above link to work; More specifically:
Supertec Auction

I'd call this auction a "proof of concept" or "market pricing research"

So $1400 dollars.... How much for the 964/993 derived one from Steve at Rennsport? I plan on making my 2.5L twin plugged. Just trying to compare costs.

Complete crank fire is cheaper than that...........
Not sure if your race rules will allow it though.
