Part identification help
Heard a clank was not sure if I ran over something or this fell off my 1986 911. Can anyone identify this steel part for me? Thank you

Not Porsche.
Looks like a fence pole clamp…at least half of it. Good thing the car in front of you didn’t kick it up at your hood or windshield. |

Guess the ol' pattern recognition is still working....
Better to find these things out in the driveway rather than away on some road trip. Be sure to scour YouTube to find the helpful trick in installing the new spring. |
