Is it possible to adjust wipers arm so they park a bit lower

Is it possible to adjust wipers arms so they park a bit lower on the windshield?
I kinda hate the wipers on the drivers side, but I also read about some drawbacks of reversing them.

my main simple need would be if to have them reset/park a bit lower. right now I need to push them with my hand. but when they run, the paring position is an inch or two too high. is not a problem or a defect per see... just my preference I guess

Loosen the retaining nuts, wiggle the arms to free them from the post, reposition and tighten the nuts.

Before you start put a towel or cloth on your hood area underneath the wipers. That way when they unstick from the wiper motor post they don’t land on your hood (frunk) paint.

Also check that nobody previously swopped the left and right wiper arms. That also makes quite a difference.

you mean the retaining nut on top (easy) I guess right?
or below the trunk/blower at the motor(a bit of pain)

On the arm. Loosen the nut a turn or so, lift the arm and wiggle it back and forth.

update: i was able today to remove the arm ( you need to remove it because there are splines that hold it) and reinstall it a little bit lower to my preference.

now I don't need to reverse it. they stay put very low

well, you are wrong..you should absolutely reverse it to the right position.The wipers can touch each other and you are asking for trouble...just a friendly advice..

The biggest drawback is the wipers are off on the right side of the car, and when you hit the wipers, that have to travel all the way from the passenger side to get to where you are looking out. With the wipers in the normal position, they wipe the window in front of the driver right away. Not a huge difference, but it is a difference.

10 mm nut ( if I remember correctly) just make sure you torque it down good so your wipers don't fly off at high speed during a downpour

The passenger side blade hangs off the glass a bit at rest. It looked goofy to me so a week later I changed it back.

That is one of the disadvantages, but I tried it and found it is actually worse than just the delayed action of passing in front to f the driver.

The biggest issue I saw was that; with the wipers parked on the right, the final stroke before parking pushes the excess water to the bottom of the window. as the air flows up across the car it will push that water against the wiper blade which stops it from streaking up the window (when parked o the right, that's the passenger side). the water when blown against the wiper then flows out past the end of the wiper blade and streaks up the window in front of the driver. this isn't a problem as long as the wipers are running, but as soon as you turn them off the streak will be recreated by the water pushed up from the bottom of the window. so even in very light rain where you may want a single or intermittent wiper, the small amount of water from the window is concentrated at the bottom only to reform streaking directly in the view of the driver.
