Element E50 vs E100 question...

Might be an obvious question but after searching some threads seems like everyone has gone with the E50 size vs the bigger 100.

I have had traditional extinguishers for years but am moving on to the Element extinguishers...I also am contemplating, for the future, the engine bay suppression system.

Just curious what some of you who have purchased the Element products think after owning (God forbid having to use) and where are some good mounting points? I removed the AC/center floor console so have that area free...

I'll be ordering two, most likely the E50, just curious, before I order, if the E100 is overkill?

Have a feeling most will say "bigger is better!", and as always thanks for the input!

Erik

I mounted mine on the roll bar, right by the driver’s side B post

Alternative for me would be the glove compartment or a mount in front of the driver’s seat

I went for the 100. I mounted it under the passenger seat. It is 100% out of the way, yet I can grab it easily while seated in the driver's seat. I used the supplied bracket.

Erik, which engine bay system did you have in mind? I thought you were referring to something Element offered, but they don't seem to have one.

My brother has a BlazeCut in his 914.

I leave mine in the door pocket, where it's out of the way yet visible, but I like that under-seat mount in the photo above.

Agreed. Had the Rennline seat mount for my traditional extinguisher but it is very 'in the way' for my wife or passengers...

This looks like a nice option.

Door pocket with the E50 seems doable also...

Thanks guys!
Erik

Having attended an engine fire with an Element... "Excellent extinguisher." A caveat to consider... Once an Element is turned ON, there's no shutting it OFF. And once it shuts OFF, no turning it back ON. What's going to happen with a reignition? I say have two on hand to be genuinely well prepared. Size? Go big.
