Any value in OEM A/C system?
Hi all, just curious if there's any value (other than scrap metal prices) for the OEM A/C system from my SC... ex. the compressor, condenser, evaporator, blower, receiver/dryer, etc...
I realize this isn't the 'for sale' section, I'm just curious if it's even worth listing or if no one is even interested in these pieces and they should just go in the scrap metal pile... Thanks!

I'll take the evaporator box and the front condenser guard!

The hoses are not worth anything... there may be some value in a few of the pieces ...
If you have the older version of the Evaporator box, someone may want that so they can update to Griffith's Hurricane blower (newer box doesn't fix that blower)... Maybe the bar/guard could be useful for someone... but evaporator, condensers, drier.. no real aftermarket use I think

You may not sell the whole thing in Classifieds, but people are always looking for parts as seen above.

The receiver dryer is trash. The hoses are good to keep with the rest of the stuff. The hoses ends can be used with new barrier hoses to make a good set of hoses. The rest is gold for someone that buys a car like yours with no AC, and they want to get AC. Personally I can't imagine having no AC. My wife is happy to ride with me on long trips.
The cash value is whatever market price is. Enjoy you car and drive it!

acj47: Thanks for asking the question. I also have a pile of early car AC parts with the under-dash vents/fan unit. I've just been storing it for years--out of sight, out of mind. I need to unload that stuff too. I will work up an ad for the classifieds, but if anyone is looking for the earlier parts, PM me.
