Now that I have your attention
![]() As some of you might have read before, I'm going to attempt my first AX on Sunday. But, I need to put a little more negative camber in my d-side rear wheel tomorrow (it rubs a little, under hard acceleration in a right turn). I have done a search and have a TON of info, but I still have Two questions. 1. Does anybody know the size of the allen bolts that control the camber and toe? I only have up to 10mm in allen wrenches, and the 10 is too small. I need to buy one tonight! 2. Does anybody know the torque setting for those two bolts?

12mm - bought it at Sears. I don't know the torque offhand. Will need to look it up.

Thanks Jim! I was at Sears last night and took a guess at the size. Bought a 10mm in a socket (not sure what they're called). I didn't see a 12mm, though. I would have bought it just for good measure. I'm going to take the 10mm back ($6) and ask if they have a 12mm since I would like to torque it to correct specs. Otherwise, I would just buy a 12mm normal wrench.
Anyone on the torque setting? Anyone?

On early cars, the torque specs are approx 36 ft-lbs for the toe adjustment, and 43 ft-lbs for the camber adjustment.

It does matter, only the nice ones will tell you doesn't. Oh, uhm, keep the 10mm Allen as you will need it in the future!! When I was stuck and didn't have a good allen socket I took a standard allen wrench and cut it in order to create a makeshift tool. It worked very well and the little bit stays in my tool box...
