I think the price is OK with the work thats been done. If a PPI doesn't reveal anything you don't already know then you should have many years of low maintenance driving. With the cooler average temp in Victoria the head studs shouldn't be an issue. I would negotiate the best price you can then buy it because the more time you think about the $1,000 or so difference the less time you will have driving it. Also during the inspection ensure all the factory undercoating is intact in the wheelwells and has not started separating from the body under the side windows and doorlatch post this is a sign of rust to come.

I've got the feelers out but still yearn for that 75... we'll see what appears around here. I've already been offered an orange 69 911 for well under $10K but it needs a rebuild and paint. Besides, I already have an orange 69 in the carport and I want a driver, not a project!

You know you're gonna talk yourself into it.....

Here's the latest: I got a phone call this morning with a counter-offer of $13,750 (Canadian $) on the 75 911S. Well, I couldn't say no to it so it looks like I'm getting the car afterall! Now all I need to do is sell my beautiful 924S... sigh, why can't I keep them all? :(

Best news yet: my fiancee wants to buy the 924S for herself since she knows the car very well and was looking to buy a car (VW Golf) anyway. So, the 924S gets to stay "home" and share space with the 911 and 912. Life is grand! :D
