Bruce Anderson's tune-up class

Has anyone attended his class? There's one scheduled in the Bay Area next month and I'm thinking about signing up but am concerned that the material will be way over my head. It sounds like it may be geared towards would-be wrenches or current wrenches for Porsche dealers and independent shops. Just wondering if anyone out there has taken this course and can recommend it to a regular Joe like myself. Thanks.

Go! It will not be over your head if you are inclined to learn about working on your Porsche. It caters to both experienced and non-experienced Porsche DIY'ers. I went last year and it was great. I had already done most of the things they covered, but I still learned a lot. Jerry Woods & Bruce Anderson are very knowlegable and nice guys too. You will make up the cost of tuition and then some, the first time you perform your own tune-up. You won't regret going.

BTW, I have no affiliation with JWE or Bruce Anderson, just a satisfied student.

I'm convinced! I'll sign up tomorrow. BTW Jeff, go to www.911handbook.com. Click on 2003 classes link and then on to "schedule and registration". Guess I'll meet you there.

Go. That's the first "upgrade" I got myself and my car right after I bought it six years ago. Learn a lot even for beginner like me and gave me enough confidence to do the tune up myself. Money very well spent indeed.

Best money I ever spent on my 911. I took the tuneup class around 7 years ago.

I feared the car when I walked in.
I was ready to tear it apart when I walked out.

PS Bring your Performance Handbook, and BA will sign it for you.

I enjoyed the rebuild class. The tuneup class seemed too spendy to me -- not because of their tuition charges, but because you have to pay Sillycon Valley motel rates -- that doubled the cost of therebuild class for me. The motel next to the Motel 6 is much nicer, and you can get equla rates there if you ask. But be careful about them takcing on an extra day if you aren't out at the crack of dawn.

to re-emphasize: it was very informative, interesting & fun. The Bosey twins are pretty fun guys and will answer hotrod modification type questions. The lunches are good - but these guys are not into sushi -- expect hearty, artergy clogging, tasty meals. Also, ask Jerry about his bicycle touring.
