Given how twisty Latigo Cyn is, I'd like to see a good bike rider go against a 911 or equal car, particularly in the downhill twisties. I bet it'd be "a race."
Once I saw a world class rider race a Porsche Turbo to forty miles an hour. Guess who won. |

I think, if you want, he'll plug the motor in the car and sell you the whole lot for $20K .... I think. |

Sorry to hear it Scott. How about the 1st? Will you be in town?

Let's include some Rennlisters...
Looks like some Rennlisters are planning their own fun run in the same area, but on Dec. 20th...
I left a msg. on their thread about our run this Sat. Here's the thread... http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforums/showthread.php?s=&postid=919139#post919139 |
Kevin:
I'm planning on trying to make the TRE run on the 1st. Lots of variables, however, could change those plans. |

If the place where eating is still up in the air? I did eat at Malibu sea food the other day and it was good if you want fish and chips or a hamburger or?
It's that blue place on PCH between the 76 station and Chers palm tree orchard. It has a big covered patio that you can see the Pacific from and pretty good parking if their not to busy. It dosn't matter to me just a suggestion. Marmelades was good too. :) |
Most recent forecast
It's looking like we will have good weather for this weekend. It may be a bit chilly for California (64 degree's) but otherwisw sunny.
|
The next date for me and I have to go to Hawaii to walk to "End Stroke"...
Thanks guys! :D |
I may be coming along...
Us Malibu locals like to eat at Coogies, which is in the same shopping center as Sav-On and Ralphs. lots of good parking there. Or John's Garden, across from the Starbucks on Cross Creek, which has large picnic tables outside. |
Yeah - Coogies is good. Except it's always packed. But then at the end of our last run, Marmalade was pretty full when we arrived.
I'd go for Coogies. For a change of pace... |
Any opportunity for a ride-along with someone for this thing? I don't have my 911 yet, and I'd like to get a feel for how various years/engine sizes perform and pick up some driving tricks. I've (and I hate to admit this to such a knowledable crowd) never driven a 911 yet, but hopefully mine will be done soon!
If you have space for a nice and fairly lightweight passenger, let me know! Jason |
will there be a "slower" option for this run? I'm thinking I might be able to make it with my 7 year old in tow, and doing the twisties at max speed will make him happy for about 20 minutes, followed by possible projectile vomiting.

I still have to get the Fuchs with 195's on my car by Saturday, Dont think the car will do so well on the stock wheels with 165's
