You ended up with the motor in front, eh Sammy? :p :D

Jared at Pelican Parts 12-12-2003 07:35 AM

Latigo is downright dangerous if you dont know the road...

campbellcj 12-12-2003 09:06 AM

Latigo is also hard on brakes, clutch and trans. Many street cars will fade their brakes on that road. Even in the uphill direction ;)

I am still not sure whether I will make it tomorrow. Super busy, and I haven't "de-track-ified" the car yet.

Turns out I cant get my 2.0 Fuchs until Sunday, Damn.

Steel wheels on 70's era 165's should be interesting in the canyons

Just so everyone is in agreement, where are we eating brunch tomorrow? Should it be Marmalade since we already know it. And will they be able to fit us all in. It seems there'll be more people tomorrow than last time.

Or is Coogies more viable? Coogies is larger; more "family style," and is located more or less across PCH from Marmalade.

Thoughts?

Still on for tomorrow? 9:00 AM Gelson's in Calabasas?

Jack Olsen 12-12-2003 06:31 PM

Yup. I just hosed her off, and she's ready to go.

See you guys in the morning.

Nice model Jack

speeder 12-12-2003 06:46 PM

Either that or those are the world's largest kitchen tiles.

Bob's Flat-Six 12-12-2003 06:49 PM

Coogies sound's good to me.
It might have better parking too?? so we don't have to spread out so much.

Jack Olsen 12-12-2003 07:02 PM

That model was the only thing I had for 12 weeks of rebuilding. :)

I haven't been to Coogies, but I'd be willing to try it. The parking wasn't great at the other place, and that Aniston girl wouldn't leave poor Tyson alone. ;)

Jack Olsen 12-12-2003 07:11 PM

Came pretty close, come to think of it.

dd74 12-12-2003 07:21 PM

Location of Coogies...

The parking at Coogies is much better, and the food's comprable to Marmalade.

As you/we travel south (well east really) on PCH toward Santa Monica, we make a right on Civic Center Drive and go into an open parking lot and shopping area. Coogies is on the left past a BofA and Wolfgang Puck's "Granita" restaurant. If you reach the Sav On or Ralphs grocery store, you've gone too far. The parking lot is very large, so there should be ample parking.

Yeah, it was embarrasing. You gotta feel bad for Brad, though. Poor guy just doesn't have a chance. Sometimes I just hate myself!

Gary Busey might be at Coogies. Maybe he'll hit on Tyson. :D

That model is just too cool. I hope to make it, if I can get up in the morning.

When Busey crashed his Harley years ago and flew head first into a cement street light, (no helmet), he was in a coma for a while. He eventually woke up and they did a brain scan. When told the good news that everything looked normal, Willie Nelson remarked, "That's the first time that I've ever heard of someone being cured by a motorcycle crash!" :D :D
