Moses: it's just your type of drive. There're lots of fairies in spandex with shaved legs and wearing Capezios to scare the crap out of with a nice set of dual out mufflers.

Seriously, it'd be great to get some Northern Cali guys down here, and great to try some Northern Cali roads in return.

So far Santa Barbara guys have made it (Dan Byers), but we're looking to expand.

That's not my style at all. I sneak up behind them then blast 'em with the air horn.

No problem for January 24th. I'll put it down on my calendar.

Nice to meet you too Bob. Too bad I couldn't stay for lunch this time and missed the chat session.

I'll be there, if someone is willing to offer me a passenger seat.

I've got interviews, computer and internet purchasing, furniture and car buying to do all in the week prior, so I'll have Porsche withdrawl by the weekend.

Hey is that a new syndrome 'Porsche Withdrawl'.

Symptons - Irritability, lack of focus (on anything other that P-cars), desperate lack of interest in conversation with non-porsche people, migrane headaches from over-thinking when the last oil change was perfomed, insomnia associated with overactive extension of right foot while lying prone, twitching gear change hand, uncotrollable desire to make vroom vroom noises....

I'm hoping I can make it. Saturdays are hard since I work the graveyard shift until 6am ! Any of these runs done on Sundays?

If I do I'll be bringing this:

1967 Alfa Romeo Duetto.

It'll be fun in the twisties with lowback buckets, lapbelts & a big wood steering wheel !

I'm considering a 911SC for my next project so it'd be a great opportunity to check'em out.

Ciao !

Thats a sweet Alfa!

You guys are killin' me! Another run?? Sigh...well, I do have a trip to Las Vegas for business the prior week,...hmmmmmm, how far away is Vegas?? I could expand my trip....

Of course, thinking about it, my 911 won't be with me. Oh well, have fun guys!

Todd, Expat, Jake (if you change your plans):

If my right seat is vacant, you're more than welcome to come along!

my son has been bugging me every morning: "is the porsche drive today?" He was pissed that I didn't wake him up for the New Year's run.

Seriously bummed out

This bloody SARS thing is floating over out heads in Hong Kong.

Wife leaves this Sat. for LA and I was joining her the week of your drive, but I cant leave the kids at home with the threat of SARS re-emerging anytime soon.

I guess I'll have to wait till my next visit in April when the kids will be coming too. Hope I can catch up with you guys then.

Thanks for the offer on the ride Scott. Rain check eh!

You can rent a new 911 here, (or a new anything else, for that matter), but it's not cheap. Here is a nice example of, "money can't buy me love, but it can rent it": http://www.budgetbeverlyhills.com/cgi-bin/vehicles.cgi?choice=detail&id=56

And Dan, if you bring that Alfa, I might have to drool on it. But bring it anyways, God I love that car.

And this time, I drive Scruffy. I'm practically invisible to you guys when I drive the C2. I can just hear you all muttering under your breath.
