Check this engine out...

Fresh rebuild on 93 964 engine done by reputable Porsche wrench:

3.6L Pistons bored out to 3.8L and recoated
New custom JE pistons and rings
GE-80 Camshafts
ARP rodboldt/headstuds
3 angle valve grind /headjob
Electromotive twin plug ignition
46mm Webers (rebuilt /w engine)
PMO Intake manifolds
All required modification to sheet metal for early 911 chassis

First of all, what do you think this engine would be putting out if it's jetted and tuned propperly?

Second, what is an engine like this worth? It may actually be forsale...

Getting excited thinking about driving my car again!
Adam

are we talking at the wheel horsepower or flywheel?

I was under the impression that you could get a stock 964 engine with headers/intake (mainting motronic)/cams/chip/lightenend flywheel could put out closer to 320 HP. This was from aother 911 engine rebuilder.

How much juice you putting out Bill V.? :P

Most of the figures for a 3.8 (vs 3.8 RSR ~ 370hp) is around 300hp. add cams and carbs get another 20hp.

I would guess the torque is where the biggest gains are...........
