can I run without a front valence?
the new valence looks cool, but makes entry into the driveway and garage...ummm...challenging. Can I run without a front valence for a few days (I don't want to destroy the new one)? It looks like only a couple of bolts to remove it, although the fog light complicate it a bit.

Legally, you can run without the front valence. The bumpers are what are "required" by law. Aesthetically, that's another question.
![]() Which valence did you get? Can we see, can we see?!! |

Sure, take off the roadie valance. Maybe this is the start of your Safari 911. Driveways and concrete blocks would hold no fear. You know you want it . . .

I love that new valance. Keep it, and lose the driveway....

The trick is to change the angle you go over the curb at.
Or to unbolt the thing when you get to the driveway, and bolt it back on when you leave. ![]()

my driveway is a rising arc, and it doesn't matter what angle you hit it...there is always a contact point.
Maybe a nice earthquake would level things out. Yeah...that's what I need now...pay for some earthquake damage. |

Hinge the valance, and attach a pulley and pull cord to flip it up as you enter the driveway.
