911 8X16 Part # Questions
I've been searching for the correct part number for the 8X16 Fuchs with the 911 offset, and I've come up with the following:
P/N 911.362.117.00 = 10.6mm offset, 112mm backspace P/N 911.361.020.45 = 10.6mm offset, 120mm backspace. Questions: How can 2 different wheels with the same rim width and offset have 2 different backspace dimensions? Is there a visual difference between these 2 part numbers? Will either of these fit satisfactorily on an '88 Carrera with the stock 225/50 tire size? Are there any other numbers that will fit this application?

This is one reson why I asked people to supply actual measurements of their wheels. Look here for the actual measurements. Alll calculated values are the results of statistical analysis of as many samples as I could get. Still looking for more samples, including weights, part #s, and where they're being used.

Thanks, Bill - I have that chart bookmarked somewhere but I couldn't find it. Nice work, and I'll try to add to it if I come across anything new.
I'm still trying to find out if either or both of the above part numbers ara suitable for fitment to the rear of an '88 Carrera. The first number seems to be the standard 911 8X16, but I'm not sure how the second number is different.

As long as it's a +10.6mm o/s 8" wide fuchs it'll be fine in the back of an SC/Carrera.

THANK YOU! Question answered. So either number will fit. I guess I don't understand the relationship between offset and backspacing.

On the left is what the .361 petal looks like and on the right is the .362 wheel. ![]() The other differences are highlighted in the link below. This topic is about 16x6 wheels, but the "cosmetic" differences apply to the other 16x7, 8 wheels as well. Topic about difference in .361, .362 wheels (16x6 Fuchs)
