targa questions - removing bits...
Some questions for the targa knowledgeable.
1. How is the rollover hoop attached to the body? bolts or welds? (if its by bolts, then a simple bar between the mounting points - similar to a strut brace - should offer the same rigidity) 2. How is the windscreen frame attached to the body? I'm trying to determine how reversible a speedster conversion would be.

The A pilars of the windshield frame are welded in place. A true Speedster windshield frame is shorter and at a slightly lower angle than a common 911. It seems to me that it would be a severe PITA to change one back once it has been "chopped"

the structural roll bar is welded. I currently have the black alum cover off mine, for refinishing.

There AREN'T any aluminum covers! Stainless prep will be a bit different than aluminum!
