Removing rotors...
Several posts that I found via Search refer to using a torch to loosen stubborn rotors; is there a specific technique to this? And are there any other ideas for loosening them (penetrating oil, etc.)?.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions. Matt

When using heat, remember that the whole part has to be heated evenly or warping occurs, and it has to be be heated fast before that heat transfers to the other part and they both expand.
Also, if it starts to glow, the metal is going to be softer/weaker after it cools so try and avoid that. |

Rubber mallet works good for popping them off.
Be sure to clean the mating surface on the hub before installing the new rotor. Too much corrosion can cause excessive runout and result in vibration. Put some antiseize paste on the mating surface too!

Rubber mallet with even, light taps. Do not want to warp the rotors and have to buy new ones.

a lot of rotors have two threaded holes where you can thread in a 8mm bolt and push them off the flange.
