I like those rims. they look great on red cars, especially turbos.

HA, ROFL!

But I think it's pronounced "rah-eeeeeeeee-UH-ms"

Yeah, that is some serious bling. If you do end up w/ Fikse's (on a 930), I'd stick w/ 17's, and go with the anodized or satin centers.

Guess i'm only the 2nd guy who doesn't like 'em. They look like a half-hearted attempt at replicating the 964 Turbo 3.6 wheels. On the other hand, if you could get some REAL 3.6 Turbo wheels to fit, that'd be different. Kinda like 'fake Fuchs'--get the real deal or go for a completely different look, eg Fikse, ......or better yet, some real RUF's would be hot.

Also, nothin' wrong w/ the good 'ol reliable Fuchs.............
(not mine, but wish it were)

This is encouraging. I bought my first Porsche 3 mos ago and guess what it came with?

My mechanic (no so sure he's my mechanic anymore) didn't like 'em. He also said I didn't have SSI exhaust; so whadya call this!

Anyhow, I'm hoping to do as much of the mechanical as I can myself, but this '87 G50 coupe only has 55000 Km so there's lots of life left in it before any serious work needs to be done (I hope). It's been a lot of fun these last 3000 Km. This site is becoming my info source. I've already taken delivery of "101 projects" and a few parts as well. This will be a fun hobby!!

They look very good, but ideally you should find some genuine Turbo 3.6 wheels.

The Fikse wheels are wonderful - I love the FM5.

Hendog, maybe they look different when they get dirty (I only ever see brand new SSI"s) but as far as I know SSI's are a specific brand/type of heat exchanger. What I see under your car looks like a *regular* OEM heat exchanger. Maybe someone else can confirm that.

I'm ready to sell these Turbo 3.6 replicas - Kinesis built with BW Motorsports 3.6 centers, same as SuperCups.

8.5 x 17 and 11 x 17 - 930 offset. Rear offset retains factory 1" spacer. I currently have 255/40 and 315/35 Yokohama A032R's on these wheels.

That is a great looking set up. What wheels are you now thinking about getting. I am always looking for new wheel ideas.

Hendog:

What size are those (17s or 18s).

They're 17s and upon closer inspection they're not identical to the ones originating this thread; mine are made in japan.

D Hanson,

The 3.6 wheels are my street / wet setup. Fikse FM5's, 9.5 x 17 and 11 x 17 with 275/40 and 315/35 Hoosiers are for the track and a/x.

I wouldn't expect an answer. This thread is 12 years old and the last time the OP posted was a decade ago.

They're not bad, better on 964/965, but these RUF Speedlines are....just right for 930

Tramont wheels from France are Speedline replica approved by Porsche from what I've read.

I have them. Heavy as hell though.
