Hi guys,
have a 80 SC, clutch is functioning fine but the pedal has dropped by a couple of inches. So basically there is very little play. Is this a pedal assembly issue, omega spring, or some other gremlin? Your thoughts and advice on the possible fix would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Jim |

It might be the helper (omega) spring. It sounds like it, anyway.

Maybe your roll pin sheared in the pedal shaft

Guys,
I have fixed the problem! Put the car up on stands and adjusted the omega spring. The travel is smooth and light and the pedal has returned to the desired position. Thanks for the posts

Keep an I on the cable and the pin. Could be sign that these items are about to fail.
