Been lurking for around 6 months or so since I bought the car. Great site, unbelievable amount of knowledge and just a wealth of info on these cars. Have already bought lots of little stuff here for the car.

Anyway going to try and post some photos. The cars a 78 SC I picked up from an original owner with 109 K miles.

Things Ive done:
New bumper smile and hood crest.
Stripped the targa bar to stainless.
Put on some chrome sugarscoops.
15 inch Fuchs and new tires.

Just my attempt to slightly backdate the car.

I have been pouring over the various photo's of this car for a few days
now.

MANY pages back I posted a photo of a hardtop on track that had what
seems to be very close to the same rear flares. We all know they (Singer)
reworked their own flares that aren't like any I have been able to find.

Does ANYONE know if an offering that is close to the rear flares on this
car? They seem to fall somewhat in the middle, not quite a turbo flare
and a bit wider than a Carrera. IMHO they are perfect and really suit a
car without a tail really well.

Just when you think Singer has built the perfect 911, the come out with
something that blows away the last. This Targa to me is simply PERFECT!

I agree, a great looking and most likely an amazing driving experience. I like mine that cost probably 1/5 of the price.

sbrown.., I've lusted over your car (photo's) for as long as I have been a member of
Pelican!

Do you have any thoughts about the rear flares of the Singer? Mine is an 87 Carrera
with the same flares as yours. I know it will never happen, but I sure do wish Singer
would sell some of the parts they use on their cars. I would think a HUGE market
exists. I've read where once they finish a car with what they sell for and the amount
of hours spent, the amount they profit isn't as much as one would think.

Did you try contacting Singer directly?

Thanks for all the kind words on our Targa guys. It was/is a labor of love. The first of several we are doing.

Re: body panels/parts etc. There are no plans of selling the body panels or any of the parts for the cars.

There have been several guys that have made their own fenders & qtr panels. Some in fiberglass others in metal. Pretty impressive results.

Good luck!
