I pulled over at a rest stop, decided to remove the top, loosened the clamps, went for a walk, came back and decided to leave it on ... and forgot to clamp the clamps. Merged onto the freeway, and top went sailing when I hit 70 or so. Luckily no one was hurt, and I felt terrible needless to say. Top was apparently run over by a semi, as pretty much every piece was broken.

Luckily, insurance covers the replacement cost, and the adjuster cut me a check today for a refurbished top from Dan at Carsincnj.com. Here is my dog Daisy's reaction:

I'm sure it's not the first time that's happened.

That is just a priceless image...and should be the reminder (if you need one) to finish what you've started or Daisy will be on you!!!

LOVE the stance of this Targa... Whats the best way to get this look?

What size wheels are these? What are they off of? Looks like very little rubber profile. Somehow it all tucks in under the narrow body.

This should be entered in the owner-pet look-alike thread.

my new targa. have had a ton of 911's...here's my first targa. excited!

it's a '77 but painted a rare paint to sample color from the factory. "anthracite metallic" ...almost a slate grey.
