Bob:

I have driven through that area before. I have to say that those must be among the finest roads in America--pure heaven! I can only imagine how thrilling that would be in a 911 Targa.

Updated picture. Since I got it in Feb. 06 I have rebuilt the entire brake system and installed drilled rotors. Shocks, struts, ball joints and turbo tie-rods. Clutch, press. plate, TO bearing and all the G50 updates, Repaired numerous oil leaks. Detailed engine and installed the Carerra decals. Runs like a champ and I love it. I also got my personalized plates, "NO SUB".

Nice '87!
"The pinnacle of 911 development" quote out of 'Excellence' about the '87-'89 Carrera. Next came the 964, 993, 996, 997........they just call the rest 911's.
[That ought to start all kinds of rancor!!]

Mike, the first time through the Dragon, it felt like I was on the Scream Machine at Six Flags, I just through my hands up in the air. What a thrill!

I recently acquired this beauty for FREE!

She is a 1973.5T. No motor or tranny. Rust galore. But she is mine. I saved her from a trip to the scrap yard. Here is a thread documenting the project...

Introducing Porsche vin# 9113112244 - The Charlie Brown Christmas Targa

I have no idea what I was thinking or what I'm going to do...but I hope to make the car somehow road worthy in some form...

Definitely! ...I think.

No way, I'll be buying again in six months. It's a sickness I just can't defeat. I should just add them to my sig with "FOR SALE" stamped on them right away.

What can I say, with Julie working full time and getting her degree, I have nothing better to do...
