Left/Right Spring Plates - Interchangable?

I am getting my spring plates cad plated and am curious if the spring plates are interchangable from side to side? - I assume not a best practice? What is the best way to mark them before going to the plater?

I will share before and after pics when I am done!

I don't know how you could mix them up. I don't think they are interchangeable, even visually. I have a set of Sway Away adj. plates sitting here in my office, but don't have any stock ones handy to look at. I think there are upper and lower bolts on them.

I vaguely recall the angle of the plate arm where it connects to the tube part distinguishes R from L. How's that for precise.

Edit: Sorry, my bad.

When I re-assmbled mine after plating I couldnt tell the difference between the parts that were on the RH andLH sides of the car originally. I hope I did everything correctly.

Stock spring plates are interchangable. Both the early fixed and later adjustable. the splines may be slightly different but you will have to reindex upon installtion anyway.

They sure looked interchangable - thanks for the clarification Jamie. I notched the passengers side just to ensure it goes back the same way.

Now if I could get them separated I could get them to the plater!
