TRE Cup has a great idea for my SC:

Black background
RS 3.6 logo centered on upper gauge face (has to create one)
6,800 redline - @ 12:00

Sweeet.

Craig,
My engine is a '77 930, and didn't even have an O2 sensor from the factory, so take this for what it's worth: I installed the Euro exhaust setup from a later 930 (to get rid of the thermal reactors) and that included a J-pipe with an O2 sensor bung. Then I just installed a Bosch generic 3-wire sensor and and ran switched power to it from the engine bay, and a signal line up to the gauge. It's dead simple, and works great. Since you have a frequency valve (I think) I'm not really sure if you can just splice into it and get accurate results or not.

However, my neighbor down the street has an '83 SC and has installed a gauge just like mine. I can ask him where he picked up the signal if you want.

just remember with the 3 wire and actually anything under 5 wire sensor is a narrow pand sensor and isint accurate at all , all its good for is telling you what side of stichometic afr you are at and not what lambda you are at ie three led from stich on the lean side is a lambda of 1.05 it has no way of telling where in the lambda scale you are at.

Yup SSE, you are of course right, and I'm saving my pennies for a WB02 setup. This gauge just functions as an "idiot light" to tell me that I'm at stoich or better.

ok.. I'm back

JP's is not as exotic as bell's.
It's a single EGT and double CHT. I think it has 3 idiot red led alarms lites. It's a custom made 3 gauge plate. I'm not sure of the total price. I wouldn't be suprised if it's $300 for the complete package. The install will be a bit hourly for a nice classy/bulletproof performance install. The sender wires will probably get the high end MSD German[forgot mfg] plug in the engine comp so you can drop engine. I think the plug is $25.
JP has a big street hp turbo.

ALSO,
You can do an aircraft computer install for a bit over $2k that will cycle thru many various senders. There is an alarm for some probes and CHT/EGT deviation. The ga face is 2 1/4in and extends from the rear of the console face till almost the rear of the console cabin bulkhead. I can confirm it's doable. It'll be a fantastic data center. You'll love it. It's a zen trip of becoming One with your engine.

held hands with the bride on a Tauck 6day bus tour of Alberta's northern Rocky Mts. Cable TV sucks, speed limits suck, main roads only slow 2 lane. I'm hanging with high net worth white collar older people while wearing sandals in 40-50degF weather and T-shirts. Fancy dinners with all kinds of fancy cooking and I tell the waiter" Very nice cooking. Could you please broil the beef with Only butter. Anyway the owner of the NYC building closed it for the RNC and gave the staff a paid vacation. Had a herd of elk feeding on the grass in front of my cabin while in the Jasper Prov. Park. The bride's happy, so worth the formal bs. The mounty PD brought out the dogs when I walked off the plane. I walk by the dog and say to the dog " That's a good boy." pun intended. Waiting out the storm bs with my car still high on cement blocks. Sandbar life is a wet deal.

oh yeah, gauges.. A high power gauge light bulb is available from aircraft supply. I direct wire to lights on terminal at light sw terminal to avoid lousy stock ga light harness, whatever.
