Is it worth changing stock cat to a fabspeed bypass to be used with stock muffler. Would it be better to wait for other changes.
(IE exhaust/exchangers) I have 160k. Doing some other maintenance and was thinking of this. All stock currently. Just curious.

Without improving the induction, you'll be wasting your money by only installing a cat bypass (Fabspeed or otherwise).

It may be a waste of money but on mine the exhaust sound got deeper and that made it worth it alone. Actually I took mine off just to get rid of the heat on that side of the engine.

Sounds better, weighs less, less heat next to engine, pretty easy to do if your bolts are not rusted in.
I felt an increase in performance when i made this change. alf

Makes valve adjustments a lot easier too.

Clogged cats cause other problems. Sounds cool. Runs cooler (temperature). Opens up the system for other upgrades like chips. Just make sure you won't need the $ if something breaks.
