Thanks. 930 3.0 engine with an added 3.3 stock intercooler underneath the ducktail. Euro exhaust system. Stock turbo and boost level. In theory it should have somewhere around 245-250HP, though I haven't dynoed it.

Stripped interior, RS door panels, fiberglass, etc. It weighed in at 2250# wet when I weighed it at a PG&E yard scale. But I have since blown the mag-case 915 and replaced it with an SC box, so that's a bit heavier.

Best G-Tech so far is 13.4@106

It's an absolute riot to drive this thing. It's probably not as fast as the 3.6 conversions, but the turbo kick makes you feel like you have a rocket engine back there. Took it to Thunderhill the other day with SCCA, and that put a permanent smile on my face.

EDIT - typo: weight was 2350, not 2250. Sorry.

Very cool car Colin! Thanks for the details. What are you currently running for tires?

I normally would agree with the majority here but i think the turbo tail looks good. Why? Black. Black 911s are scary. Turbo tails are scary. Polished Fuchs are scary. Those tail pipes in the picture are scary. And with the normal width body the turbo tail looks all the more outrageous.

Yoko ES100s, 205/45 all around on 7x16 Fuchs. It needs more tire in back but I'd need to do flares. I run max camber (around 2.7-2.8 degrees negative) in the rear when I'm going to the track with it, but I run on street tires only.

It was surprisingly well balanced, no abnormal TTOS to speak of. But I'm not the best track driver in the world, either, so maybe I just haven't had it bite me yet.

Can you show some pictures of the intercooler and tail?
I'm leaning twards doing the same with mine. Completely different look.

By the way, my Sachs clutch is still holding strong at over 10,000 miles. I'm not real hard on it, usually stick it after engagement. I'm surprized you aren't showing better 1/4 mile times with that power/weight ratio. Traction problems?

Go with the duck. I'd love to see a compiled list of resources. Has anyone built one?

Aside....can someone with a Duck give some location measurements of where the top edge is located in space?

Maybe...like measuring down the lid "X" inches from the leading edge of the lid ( along the lid surface)... and going straight up "Y" inches to get to the top of the duck edge ??

Duck

I vote duck. The Turbo tail seems to overtake the narrow bodies. Plus people that arent aware that a Porsche tail actually works will think you are trying to keep up with the tuner world (not that those peoples opinions matter). Either way it is a nice choice to have!

Go tailless.. I am thinking of getting a flat decklid to run around with and save the tail fo the track only.. as I think the tail-less look is classic.
