The adapter is an extra $20 and is listed as "Deluxe Adapter," as I remember. It looks like a stick of fibgerglass about four inches long.

The adapters were out for new tooling for a few months I believe.

Any pics of these adapters? I'm wondering if they're worth ordering to make the housings fit more snug.

I used a tap and simple made screw holed in the metal where the old mounting bracket sits...the outer mounting points required nothing special. As for fit they are tight...no movement at all and I did use the original seal on the bottom between the light unit and the bumper.

Ok here is my critique . The fit is awesome correct. The holes need to be drilled ( b4 paint). To install- get the longest 10/24 SS you can get ( could not find metric fast enough in my hurry) get plastic nuts for them too (ACE) pull off the backing plat nut holders and replace with the new plastic nut. Place you new R part up there and stick the screws in and you will see that the inboard tab needs to be shoved inboard just a little. and bent to the rear of the car. The out Bord tab needs a tweek too.
Other then that will screw right in to the old mounting spots. PURRFECT. My only complaint is as far as brightness.....hope the wind dose not blow the candles out. (LOL) I have a big 3rd brake lt...........but will look around for some better lights to go with these AWSOME R parts.....no grinding or fitting required, just some fuzzz off the inside about 20 sec with 40 grit.

Cheers
