At the risk of getting an EE upset at something I might be missing, I'll just bring up one concern with that. (Thinking out loud, really...)

If you use a 6 ohm at every corner, the flasher isn't seeing 6 ohms, as it sees more than one resistor in parralel. (If you put two 6 ohm resistors together, you end up with 3 ohms, and so on)

Try doing it up near the flasher.

Here's a kit they sell for this type of thing.

this might work- freightliner sells a small motorized flasher -it rotates inside rather then typical flasher where heat lifts arm...

Jake, maybe I am just demonstrating my lack of rains, but I am confused by what you have said? As long as you have a 6 Ohm resistor between each hot bulb wire and earth, then you are supplying the correct load for each bulb as far as the relay is concerned. It does not mater where you physically place the resistor as long as it is between the hot wire and earth (ie. somewhere between the fuse and the bulb).

Here is a good example from the site that you posted a link to, demonstrating the installation of the resistor http://www.customdynamics.com/load_equalizer_install.htm I will assume that this pack contains 2 resistor with a common earth connector.

Or are you suggesting that the relay should be fitted in series with each bulb and not in parallel with each bulb??

ok I have Rays 911R lamps mounted but need reverse lights. I have looked at American Superlight and found the 2.5" round LED units...but none of them are clear lense with white light. I want to mount them in my reflector using the gromet like the 911R units. Anyone have a source?

Like this but in clear with white light:

IIRC Ray was able to supply me with a pair of clear lamps. Check with Ray if you haven't already.

What about the guy Andy in the UK? The lenses are off-the-shelf units in Europe -- something like 9 pounds each. TRE Motorsports has also carried them.

Wayne carries the original style 911R lights with the factory Hella incandescents. I'm carrying Ray's LED style.

Hmm... I found them a fairly tight fit, and you can see that Shawn's fit pretty well. THe variation in his is due to the fiberglass bumper. SW, do you have the rubber seals on both top and bottom?

I have Ray's R-Type LED lights, which I bought through Chris Streit. The workmanship and fiberglas are excellent and I'm happy with them. Two caveats: If you expect the LEDs to be blow-you-away superbright, you'll be disappointed. They're probalby slightly brighter than incandescents, but not that much.

Also, the fiberglass units fit a bit loosely in the big taillights holes above the bumper. They're held in place simply by the two screws, and one of the screws goes into a slightly kludgy "adapter" that allows for a bit of floppiness. I suppose I could stuff in some thicker gasketing and fix the problem, but currently, I can grab the fiberglass units and move 'em up and down about a quarter-inch.

Well I will give them a critique when done too.
Did someone else fit them for you (and perhaps got too happy with a grinder?)
