doozer 01-14-2005 07:17 AM

HeHeHe. He said smokes and diesel in the same sentance ;) ;) ;)

Kevin Stewart 01-14-2005 08:07 AM

wow i got a good idea, how about a Porsche motor,

Porschekid962 01-14-2005 09:29 AM

who cares what he puts in it, it is after all his car. like he said the car was/is a basket case. i see no problem in putting another lump in it, just fix that bodywork hahaha.

i have seen some interesting engine swaps, at the art center car show last year some guy showed up with a datsun 510 that had a ferrari v8 in it, what do you think the ferrari camp thought of that?

Kevin Stewart 01-14-2005 10:44 AM

when its al said and done he will have the same money if not more in a a B aSTERED conversion

Lukesportsman 01-14-2005 11:59 AM

Sure, but if Juan had just stuck a turbo'd LS1 in his car...think how much more money he'd have left over :)

Click click click, aw forget it. You should report that 72' to the VTK group.
http://www.911vtk.com/
It would help track down one less of the 12,962 cars.

I see no problem with taking a ratty old 911 and turning it into a serious performer as long as everything is done right. If its a crappy old carbed chevy 350 i wouldnt do it. I would however put a 436 Ci LSX motor pushing 600 N/A hp.

This way the handling wouldnt be effected that much, and it would have way more balls then any porsche motor for the money. If you want to get REAL serious. Put in the 436ci ls6 and toss a turbo or supercharger on it like some others have and then you have a INSANE car:eek: Maybe do some weightloss in the rear to level the weight distribution out but...

Its just a car. Make it as fun as you can, who cares where the parts came from. Shoot, if i had millions of dollars id buy a 997 and put a twin turbo LSX motor etc..:D

back to lurker mode

needcash 01-14-2005 01:53 PM

Hey Dozer, how much do you have in your car money wise?

how much was the body work etc...?

doozer 01-14-2005 02:47 PM

Eeeek.. Dont ask me that I may actually stop and thing about it... ;)

I will have to figure it up..

Lukesportsman 01-14-2005 03:00 PM

I had a 13B in my 912 for awhile. I couldn't get it to cool right without cutting some of the body for ducting, so I removed it.

How about a Turbo Cayenne? I think it would be awesome.

here's a couple of pics of the '72 since we got the ruf bumper and 'glass fenders.

the idea is to make it as light as possible, and we'll easily get 300 horse from 2.0L subaru...

so, mock all you want, it's my project...ettsn is the owner.

I feel inspired. Gonna put me a hyabusa engine where a shovelhead should be and ride into Sturgis.

Yeah - that'll show dem summink 'bout weight distribution.

atlporsche 01-15-2005 08:06 AM

damn straight...

hayabusa power in a properly styled "chopper" would be AWESOME.

What transaxle did he use?? I went on the site and he mentions everything except this??

atlporsche 01-15-2005 10:05 AM
