Hey Markus!
I'm sure the true engine rebuilders who read this forum are laughing at our wide-eyed marvel of what's obvious to them! I hope my explanation was done pedagogically enough for everybody... I know I learned something else in the process. Notice the chain tensioner sprockets are on the side of the chain that doesn't actually pull the cam sprocket... just like on my old Schwinn 10-speed bike. The things you just don't think of just looking at the manual. Last edited by DarrylD; 02-09-2005 at 10:07 AM.. |

Still no luck. This blows, this is a thing of beauty. I can get a still shot but not automation.
Oh well, David |

Argeo right click on the pic (once it has loaded and is running) and save it somewhere on your computer. Then browse to it from the desktop background selection page
You can't use internet explorer wallpaper. (It will choose the image in the cycle that was showing when you clicked it)

Oh, and if anybody else out there is running Linux, I made a modification to xscreensaver. The "engine" screensaver, written by Ben Buxton, used to have just an incorrect model of a 4-cylinder engine. I added a 6-cylinder Porsche engine, among others.
![]() It's a 3-D spinnning model, but it's nothing as detailed or accurate as Darryl's. I made sure the firing order was correct, though! |

Won't animate (XP/IE)
OK, I'm a true computer dolt, but I don't see this thing moving, ever. I've followed the directions to save and then right-click to set as desktop, and I get a still image. When I save it the computer saves it as a bitmap, no option I can see to save as a gif file.

Thank you for the animation, comes at an excellent time to visualize what I'm working on. Thanks
