I just got my Pelican stickers in the mail this afternoon.
Thank you Scott, I will put them on the car in the morning.

Since the project is in the development phase and prior to final paint I decided to use this blank canvas to thank those that helped me keep a loose footing on the slippery slope.

Mirage owner Jae Lee was a great help (and continues to be) with the project.
So I put a Mirage sticker on my 911.

My fellow Pelican Lowyder993s also was a big big help.
Jim is just the coolest.
He had the guys at his shop do the tin work on my car.
Don't ask me what it cost, to put it lightly Jim told me he took a hair cut on it.
So I put his company's name right near their oil cooler plenum.
Jim is quick to share a Cigar so Sunday at the DE hopefully he'll break open his new box of smokes.
Turned out to be a seldom seen photo of the running boards installed.

Jim's interior tin work.
Mirage cut out the back seat and installed a trans cooler and adjustable control arm points.

Small reward for Jim's high and tight "haircut".

MMMMMMMMMM

My dad gave me a bad a$$ digicam for stills. I'll be doing some picture taking this weekend. Plus got the camera in the car, so we'll get some good vid too. Just glad to have you FINALLY back on the track!

Axiom Motor sports did the wide body flare job in record time with timely photo updates too.
Joe and Rudy are #1. I'll be back for paint this summer.
So I put their name on the front fenders.

WEVO, Hayden is the man.
I just wish he would move down to San Diego!
This 911 has every WEVO upgrade he makes from the shifter to the ring/pinion.
I thought I would grace my car with a WEVO sticker.
Another photo with the running boards installed.

The WEVO long lever shifter with the WEVO Ultra light power shift knob.
The gear selector is in reverse, it does not interfere with the stock handbrake.

Gracias amigo!

Couple random photos.

I need some street rims and tires.
For the rear either 18x13 345/35/18 or 19x13 (CGT size) 345/30/19,
and for the front 18x10 265/35/18.
We are ready for the DE Sunday.

Car looks great...if you need some extra thank you for Jim, I can always raid my humidor and help out with some of the finest Cuban Cigars. Just one of the benfits of living in the great white north.

Enjoy your ride.

Just a plug for Jae if I may, been talking with him on email about some stuff and he is prompt in his responses and seems to be a great guy to deal with.

Cheers
Jae took some cold rolled rifle drilled material and made the welded/gusseted bump steer spacer.
Then he added an adjustable ERP bump steer spacer.
The gusset goes from the bump steer spacer across the steering arm to the strut.
The welded gusset provides strength to both the bump steer spacer and the JRZ steering arm too.
Tig welded slowly over a couple of days in 1/2 inch increments so as not to distort the strut or the adjustable shock.
Best progress with your project too.
Keep'm separated!

Will do! Trying to get a fam trip down your way as I am working on an airspace design project right now, where is the closest major field? I would gladly extend the trip a few days to meet you and Jae, who is treating me very well, and see your car.

Cheers

You must understand how tough it is to sit here at the PC with a new unopened box of Macanudos sitting right next to me!
hhmmm Cubans, we should pm and maybe you could enlighten me.
Raid the humidor, how generous!

Thanks, I already decided I'd save the opening honors for you.
I'll pick up a blunt on the way to Jae's for tomorrow night.
Ya think on the way back to San Diego Customs would notice a Cuban or two in your surfboard bag???

ahhh how do I say....so so.
I got to the track early and the very first cold start popped the front oil cooler.
Then I had some coffee, a donut, a ride in a hot 3.6 wide body conversion (Almost felt the breakfast Jack again ) .

Then a ride in a 500+hp GT2 then a short ride in a super hot and snotty Cobra (I knew it was fall in SD as the side pipes acted as a leaf blower with the Liquid Amber leafs) to the local watering hole for a spicy bloody Mary (that was just Vodka and Tabasco ) a couple dos XX, a nice cigar and some Amstel lights at the PCA beer bust....sound like a full Sunday?
.....next we install an in line Mocal thermostat.
Hey I think I have some overdue yard work??

Looking at the pics of that car, I am starting to think it would be worth the trip for a fanatic newbie like me just to get a chance to see it in the metal.

It's good to see your goal made into reality Mike. That is one sweet ride! Probably the nicest I have seen.

Wish I was closer. This would be worth the drive over to the left coast to watch in action. Beautiful car and excellent work.

Good seeing you the other day Alonso, next time hopefully I’ll have more time.

Thanks guys, after we test at a couple track days I’ll get the passenger seat and intercom installed.
Then if you like you can join me for a track session.
