looks like he deserves those bigger fenders, after making the most of what he had!

Thanks for the photo that was a very fun weekend with the Alfa club. I expect my first race with the new car might be the Alfa club Buttonwillow 2 hour enduro, wait and see.

Rear suspension update.
New mono balls were placed in the control arms.
Jae Lee owner of Mirage then installed adjustable control arm mounts.
Cutting and grinding for a pefect fit.

Almost ready.

Mocking up the adjustable mount.

The first side completed.

The ERP spring plate installed.

The JRZ double adjustable rear shocks mounted upside down with coil and tender springs.
Turbo brake rotor looking a bit small inside the 18x13 rear rim.

Tomorrow I should have a photo or two of the new slammed ride height. Then it's off to the body shop for flares and some paint.

930 arms, sheez hey I’m on a budget here!

You know Jack I had the chance. Jae had a pair for sale for about $1400 and I decided to just stay with the Aluminum 911 arms.
Yes the anti squat geometry (has been addressed through other mods) and the larger bearings would have been nice. The cost to benefit didn’t pan out for me. How much would it lower lap times? For example a couple quick POC racers are very competitive with aluminum 911 control arms so I thought they would be fine for me too.
What body shop did your flares?

I came to the same conclusion about the 930 arms. If cost is no object, it's the way to go. But it's not just the buy-in, it's the cost (and availability) issues of replacing them when one gets bent.

KevinP73 (a Pelicanite) of Automotive Innovations and Restoration did my car's bodywork (with fiberglass parts from Rennspeed in Duarte).

Mike,
Awesome car - can't wait to see it up close!! I think you'll be very happy if end up with Axiom Motorsports doing the paint.

Hi Doug,
After seeing your silver bullet I would have to agree.
The yellow wide body there belongs to Brandon, should be done any day. It has built carbed 3.6.

Good point Jack, replacement would not be easy or cheap.

Maybe this project could use two cow bells?

Here it is in some rare So Cal sunshine.
It's rolling though the suspension settings are just roughed in at the moment.
OK the no fender look fun has worn thin, I'm really ready for flares again.
After it returns from the body shop I'll post pictures.

It's no surprise that Mike's other ride has a meaty look too!

Looking great Mike, I'm looking forward to Jae working a bit of his magic on my suspension

Thanks Mike, your cab is one of my favorites. My wife would agree to a 3rd 911 if it was yours. You must get some looks in that car!
The white car has a passenger seat, jump in sometime at Big Willow.
Here's another shot since Jae lowered it a little bit more.

Looks a little like BB2?

Sweet looking car! One question, what are 'street legal' flares?

Nice thought, mine too. Yes for now, always entertaining new themes any suggestions?

By "street legal flare" I just meant a typical wider 911 flare allowing the car to continue as a dual purpose street and track car.

Monday it’s off to the body shop for flares.
