New Wires- WOW!
I just replaced the plug wires the PO had on the car with a set Clewetts from our host. What a difference! I've got power across the band and engine runs much smoother. These wires an a fresh set of plugs are the best money I've spent so far. I had NO problem getting the Clewetts to seat properly. Got it right the first time. In retrospect it should have been the first thing I did when I got the car. Can't wait to get rid of the clogged cat and open up the muffler to a two out. Now it gets fun!

Did you reuse the Beru wire separators?

No, but I did not take a lot of time with it. The channels in the seperators seemd too tight. I'll probally try again soon.

Mike,
I'm not using the separators either and I doubt I will go to the trouble since everything looks and works just fine. Joe |

No but a modified set of Chrysler cables that are virtually identical to Clewetts.

They are a ton cheaper, right?
Want to post the p/n and what mods you made to use them - might help others.

The cables come too long so they have to be cut to size and the connectors on the cap end have to be re-crimped back on. Next, slip them back on the stock Beru boots for a stock look on the distributor end. Joe Last edited by stlrj; 05-16-2005 at 03:02 PM.. |
