A friend of mine has a '01 C5 that regularly gets 28mpg on strictly freeway runs, if speed is kept at around 80-90mph... I'm not sure what the rear gears are, but <2000 rpms for 80+ mph in top gear? My Carrera would get that too, if top gear was that high!

The Corvette is built in a dedicated factory in Bowling Green, KY. The only other car that is built there is the Cadillac XLR.
