Does anybody have any info on a car vin # 301085. Also it had California plates 045-ETE.

The car is not matching ( 2.2S with carbs engine )

Welcome vjim. Could you post a photo of the corner of your dash showing the end of the kneepad, and the ignition switch; sort of a general photo through the open door. The kneepad changed from a straight strip to wrapping up the end of the dash; the dash fascia changed; and the ignition switch changed. Possibly all at the same time as the paint code changed, but we are not sure.

BTW, your English is very good.

So, what is curious about my car is the Birth/Delivery date of 1/11/66, which would put it later than several of the 303xxx cars in the database. I guess that they definitely did not build them in order of the VIN.

A Kardex sure would be interesting...

Does anyone know the numbering for the first early Karmann built 911's

and how did they match the Reutter 911 Vins ?

VIN Experts - Do I have a '65 or a '66 911?

Chassis # 302843
Gearbox # 225022
Color 6604
Interior leatherette black with corduroy grey
Extras: sliding roof, antenna, additional heating Webasto, speaker, suppression color windows and Koni-dampers
