You have to push and wiggle it back after the rivets are out. It tends to bind on the threads.

Do you know if I have to buy the whole enchalada ($400+) for the ignition device, or can a lock smith fix the mechanical part? Thanks for the help

Rick,
I had to replace mine because the interlock for the steering column went wonky. If your prob is in the tumbler, it may be worth trying a locksmith. |

Mark,
Ya thats what I'll do, when I remove the ignition body does it pull out of the steering column? It's kinda hard to see in there upside down.

Yes it pulls out of the column after you get it pushed back from the dash. Good luck with it.
