How many run the happy crab muffler on there cars?? What are the other options??
|
I am happy with the crab, but there are others who like the Triad and some custom solutions as well.

I think that B&B headers or stock 993 headers w/ a Dynomax 2 in/2 out is probably the best street exhaust

993 Stock Heat Exchangers are the bomb! Cheap and very effective indeed. Plus you get heat :)

Straight off the cats with a couple of 3" resonator tips! What a sound! The idle sounds impressive!
As far as the first drive; it was okay....the engine was still almost new and whoever owned it previously had not run it hard. The mechanics who installed it asked what I had done with the engine to make it run so much better. Just a few, good Italian tune ups did the trick. It runs like a monster now! The difference between the 3.2 and the 3.6 V-Ram is remarkable! These things pull all the way to red line and STRONG! Just make sure you use 95 octane or better. DO IT! You'll love it! Drums:D |
91 was fine in my 3.6

Glad your happy...but for 1200 bucks I need a kiss and a BJ....

I can't get my head around paying more than a hundred bucks for a muffler.

I am curious about those posters out there with 3.6 or 3.8 liter engines in earlier cars (or planning conversions). I am wondering which set-up is predominant: 3.6 from 964, 3.6 from 993/early, or 3.6 from 993/Varioram? I am really curious about various intake set-ups. I am thinking about a cold airbox made out of carbon fiber for the 964 and 993/early types of intakes. I already made a prototype for my car (3.8 with 993/early intake manifold), and I am considering making a more robust mold to perhaps fab up some more units So if you have one of these converted set-ups, what intake do you run?.

This from a guy who paints over his rock chips with rustoleum. Go figure! ;) It's for the bling, Olsen. It's all about the bling. Stainless with pretty welds costs money! |
OK, i'll toss my hat into the ring.
It's my 74 911, 97 Vram, Timmons HC muffler. It's very fast, very loud, very cool to drive. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1131784353.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1131784394.jpg |
