Replace Grommet after A/C Removal with solid plug?
I'm getting ready to pull the A/C from my 82SC. I have looked at a drawing that says there is a rubber grommet that seals the line running from the rear condenser to the front condenser, to the chassis. Porsche part number 901.573.143.00.
Once the line is removed there will be a hole in the grommet. And a hole in the chassis. Is there a proper Porsche grommet, without a hole in it, (aka, a "plug") to seal the chassis? I imagine the hole may have existed in cars prior to the factory making A/C standard, but I can't find any reference to a chassis plug.

I just went to a local place that specializes in rubber extrusions. They had hundreds of various rubber plugs and grommets... You should plug them to keep "things" out.
