RarlyL8,

Since your reading this thread and it might apply for our new member, what clutch have you had good luck with in the 915?

Am I the only one that kind of in some hidden part of my brain kind of likes that Beetle? No I wouldn't be caught alive in her, but I find it creative in a Honda sorta way

I am going to assume that 20/21's are cams?
Sorry for my ignorance here guys, that's why i'm asking questions.

Yes, Sebring77, I have done the searches and yes I have read both of those threads.
Remeber that i'm new to P and to turbos, what some may take for granted, others know nothing about.

I see that several of the CIS/turbo setups do not use an intercooler.
Is intercooling not required for this setup or, is it simply not feasible to install?

I see many words voiced on cylinder stud upgrade. Can the 3.0 run 7-9# of boost on the stock studs?

I'm running a Sachs Sport Clutch in the 915. Absolutely love it. The feel is stock with added durability. I should have the tranny out in a week or so and will report back on how it looks after 3 years behind the turbo.

As for the cams, there are many grinds used in the 3.0-3.3L turbo application. The SC grind works well and you have it now. Unless you are planning an engine tear down anyway I wouldn't change them. I also don't think there would be any significant difference noted for the money spent.

I would like to hear about that clutch R. I'm thinking of dropping the engine and doing a pre-emptive clutch swap for the turbo. Thanks for the info.

Yes, please give us an update on the clutch after the drop. Have you decided for sure where your going with the tranny otherwise, RarelyL8?

I do agree that I would keep the SC cams if that is the ONLY reason you'd open her up. Just not enough to gain and watch the piston clearance with CIS pistons. In the old days, 930's were swapping in SC cams weren't they to help response?
