I was out on a shoot of a newly-built tarmac car this morning, a piece I am working on for Total 911 magazine. This pic is not for publication, taken by me and the incredible driver is sideways at 80-ish mph on a damp road. The car kicks ass! I will post a better pic when I get one.

Can you find out who makes those flare extensions? Several of us would like to know the source. Ferrariguyma on this board was trying to do this to his car at one point, but the flares were not available for a sc/narrow body such as this

cool car!

Is that the car in the latest Excellence mag? The Rothmans replica is indeed the one in the latest excellence. We helped our friend with getting the car, parts, and advice The car is pretty cool- its the same one in white with no graphics on this thread

Very cool. ..and very cool to see it in the "white" stage. I just read about that car this morning. Sounds like a fun machine if you can find someplace to run it.

Hi mate, the arches came from France, as did a couple of other bits. They are quite common on tarmac cars over there. The car is a sort of 'homage' to the Almeras 78 Monte winner. I am back down doing some more notes on the car next week so will get the supplier details. Voici une autre photo:

Chris H did a great vid of Richard sliding EKP (see my previous Boucles du Spa pic) at Phil Price's rally school earlier in the year - click here to watch it.

Great snow pic, John!

Too bad many old 911 are either left rusting or pampered. They should be used like in the pics in this thread. Can´t say I do myself of course, but still..

Yes mate, is a great pic. That car went to the Chatsworth rally show last weekend, where it was crashed head on at 50 or so into a many-hundred-year-old tree. Everyone OK but the car...not good, maybe terminal. Really amazing to see where the damage was away from the obvious, not where I was expecting. So maybe now no more of this:

Dave, the arches on the grey car came from Almeras, was down there Monday for another look. The guys are thinking of having their own sets made, as the fit and finish/profile of the French kit is really not great, took a lot of work to get it where it is and is still not right.

The only time I see driving like that here in the OC is when people take a shortcut at the "freeway" ramps.

No probs mate. I am driving the car tomorrow for the first time & suspect my first run behind the wheel of a 300bhp 3-litre motor in a properly setup 911 rally chassis could be life-changing...

I think you have to be real good and it doesn't hurt to have some big Huevos as well. Those big brown stumps with bark can hurt ya...

Thanks for the inspiriation. I have a '77 930 tub sitting in my garage that will eventually become a 954 replica.

RallyAmerica does have a historic class but there is currently nobody running it...
