This is the relay in the engine compartment that I believe delays shutting off the CDI unit for a fraction of second(s) when ignition key is switched off.
Looking at the diagram, it seems that the S pin=switch control. Apply 12V will turn the relay on. The L pin is the "output" (i.e. it connects to pin 30 when relay is on and pin 31 if off). Can someone please confirm that my understanding is correct (or not)? thanks.

Yes - I'm talking about the same relay. Just want to confirm that the operations of the 2 pins (S & L) on the relay.
