It's interesting how the Targa controversy has been so long standing (see more recent Targa threads - one locked and the other not locked so far) - makes one think there MUST be cause for it!!!

^^^ Is it the car that doesn't have what looks to be some sort of greenhouse perched above its rear wheels?!

Sadly, too many jealous guys couldn't afford targas and got stuck with stuffy coupes.

Hmmm, that expansive rear glass section seems like it would conduct quite a bit of heat - probably catch quite a bit of sunburn even with he top on !?!?!

Speaking of which, do you Targa owners grow weed back there? Fold down the seat backs, set some pots (yes, pun intended) back there, park in the sun, and boom, perfect indoor gardening situation!

Two 911's pass each other on a scenic drive, one driver says to himself; I pity that other guy trapped in a fracking tin box on such a beautiful day.

The other driver says to himself; I pity that guy trapped in that ratty flexing fugly poor copy of my work of rolling art.

They both wave to each other despite their differences.

And that makes the Porsche brotherhood.

Brothers, time to stop the pissing contest.

Where exactly do you see a "pissing contest"? I see folks cracking wise and enjoying a good, mutual laugh here, and to me, that is also a requisite quality of brotherhood.

Like Bob K mentioned in another "targa" thread, no one flinging Targa 'v' Coupe barbs actually gives a rat's hindquarters about the differences between the two.

Do some of you really take yourselves that seriously?
